 Important info for 2008 Summer Leagues:
The 2008 Summer League has been improved, more basketball in a shorter period of time! This year we will play 10 games over 6 weeks as opposed to 8 games over 7 weeks. We have also eliminated the end of summer tournament because there were so many conflicts with vacations and other sports in early August. These changes will allow the league to end 2 weeks earlier.
League Goal
To provide quality competition for high school and high school youth feeder programs in the Southern Milwaukee area. Many of the teams in this region find our league a nice alternative to traveling a farther distances for competition.
Eligibility
Our leagues are school or city based.
By this we mean that participants must be from the same city or going to the same school in order to be eligible.
For the High School league, all players must be going to the same high school.
For the Middle School league, all players must be intending to go to the same high school in order to be eligible. Teams made up of girls from different cities but intending on going to the same parochial school would be eligible.
AAU teams that meet the requirements above are eligible. AAU teams or All Star teams made up of players from different cities going to different high schools are not eligible. The whole goal of our eligibility guidelines is to provide competition that is of a high quality and even.

For the Middle School we have the following age based leagues:
6th grade boys 7th grade boys 8th grade boys
6th grade girls 7th grade girls 8th grade girls
(players or teams may be allowed to play up as long as they are competitive. If a team is looking to play up it must get permission from the league)

The Facility
In 2004, South Milwaukee built a brand new high school. Included in this high school project was a state of the art fieldhouse. All games are played at this new facility. The fieldhouse features 4 beautiful full size wood courts. In addition, the facility is air-conditioned which is a big plus for a Summer league. The booster club will also be running a concession stand during the summer for those of you who are on the run and want to catch a quick bite to eat.
